After all the drama, Yeferson Soteldo made his debut with Tigres this weekend

Although his arrival was delayed even though Tigres, Toronto FC and Carlos Salcedo were ready to sign mid-January, the trade between Los Felinos and the Reds was on hold until the last day of the winter transfer window as they all were expecting for Yeferson Soteldo’s decision.

And just six days after arriving in UANL, Yeferson Soteldo had his first minutes wearing Tigres colors, in the match against Mazatlán FC, where he jumped in the pitch at 80’ and helped Los Felinos to make up lost ground that led to the 4-2 victory.

When Florian Thauvin signed with Tigres, he arrived in Mexico with the highest expectations, given that he was part of the champion France National Team in 2018 FIFA World Cup and still on his prime, but so far, he’s had a hard time adapting to Liga MX, which is why Miguel Herrera decided to sign Soteldo, so he can compete with Thauvin for the starting role.
