FC Barcelona is facing extreme changes, after a season in which Ronald Koeman assumed as the head coach and many important players left, such as Luis Suárez, Ivan Rakitic or Arturo Vidal. Even Lionel Messi try to make his way out from the club, but president Josep María Bartomeu didn't let him.

After all, things seem to still be changing at the club. This week Spanish press reported that Barcelona is thinking on making a wage cut that may affect not only the staff but also the players.

If this takes place, every player would have the possibility to decide if he wants to stay of if they want to terminate their contract for free, as workers statue states in Spain. This panorama puts Messi even more away from Barcelona, although his contract will be ending anyway next year and his decision to leave is very probable.

Barcelona is going through a financial problem, after many years of expensive spending in the transfer market and few sales. Their debt has risen from $220 million to $490 million in just a year and Bartomeu is against the wall with the club in a critical situation.
