Brazil will be able to field its Premier League stars for the triple-header World Cup Qualifying matches against Venezuela, Colombia and Uruguay. This is following the relaxation of the rules by the Brazilian authorities after the English authorities also did the same.

Previously, travellers who have been to the United Kingdom in the past 14 days before travelling to Brazil are required to quarantine for 14 days before entering Brazil. Likewise, travellers who had been to Brazil in the past 14 days were required to quarantine for 14 days before gaining entry into the United Kingdom. But now, the rules have changed.

Travellers from both countries will now only be required to provide a negative PCR test on arrival at either Brazil or the United Kingdom to gain entry. This is very important as this means that the Brazilian players who play in the English Premier League can now represent their country in the World Cup qualifiers.

The players who are affected include Liverpool's Alisson and Fabinho and Man City pair Ederson and Gabriel Jesus. Other players are Brazil captain Thiago Silva (Chelsea), Emerson (Tottenham), Fred (Man Utd), Raphinha (Leeds) and Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.
