Talking about mythical defenders in Premier League history is talking about Rio Ferdinand. The English played for Manchester United, West Ham, Bournemouth, Leeds United and Queen Park Rangers in one of the most important leagues of the world. At the end of his career, he gained seven PL titles and one Champions League.

Ferdinand had his best time at the Red Devils, club in which he played since 2002 to 2014. He arrived from Leeds for $50 million and left for free to QPR 12 years later, just a season before announcing his retirement. Fans loved him, and he showed at MUFC all his skills as one of the greatest defenders ever.

More than six years after his retirement, who was once a companion of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester, revealed a tremendous story of indiscipline. Ferdinand confessed that when he was a youngster playing for West Ham, his former side, he once entered the field drunk to play an official match.

As he revealed, it was a game against Arsenal in which he thought he was not going to play, so he started to drink brandy before it started. But the head coach called him and sat him on the bench, making him entering on the last minutes of the game. Ferdinand could hide his condition, but West Ham lost 2-0 that match.
