After 50 minutes of the game against Cruz Azul, when the match was still tied without goals, there was a controversial play in which the goalkeeper of Tigres Nahuel 'El Patón' Guzman saves a shot from a Cruz Azul's player and after winning the ball he tipped a blow to the player Ignacio Rivero.

The referee went to the VAR and signals a penalty for 'La Maquina' - Cruz Azul's nickname - but to everyone's surprise he didn't showed Guzmán any card. That emerged the fury of the current journalist and former 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup referee Felipe Ramos Rizo. Through his Twitter account, he pointed out that referees have no courage to expel players when they make this type of improper actions.

The response from the former goalkeeper of the Club Atlético Newell's Old Boys of Argentina came via Twitter to Ramos Rizo. Guzmán, who has also played for the Argentinian national team, published a police hat, an expression that the Argentine citizens use to refer to people that expose someone else without having any relation with the situation or been directly affected by it. In other words, Guzmán called Ramos Rizo "a snitch".

Cruz Azul striker Jonathan Rodríguez finally missed the penalty, Guzman saw a yellow card for wanting to wait for the penalty shot on his knees, and thanks to the goals of the Uruguayan Nicolás Lopez and the Frenchman André-Pierre Gignac the 'Auriazules' - nickname of Tigres - won the game 2-0. Tigres has now won 5 games in a row, without conceding goals. They are in third in Liga MX.
