Daryl Dike also posted a message about his injury on his Twitter account and thanked the club and its fans for the support he has received after the seriousness of his injury became known. 

Dike had just arrived to play in the English Football League Championship, the second division of English soccer from Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer, after a very good season. 

The player played 18 regular-season games in which he scored 10 goals and provided 1 assist.
