This information was shared through the social networks of the U.S. national soccer team, so the coach will have to make changes to his game plan if he wants to beat the Catrachos.

Through a press release posted on its website, the USMNT announced that both players will not be considered by head coach Gregg Berhalter for the upcoming match against Honduras.

This match will take place this Wednesday, February 2 at Allianz Field and for this match, the Stars and Stripes coach will have to think creatively as both players are the ones who provide the most mobility to his team's balls.

What injuries did Tyler Adams and Chris Richards suffer?

U.S. Men's National Team midfielder Tyler Adams was diagnosed with a right hamstring injury and teammate Chris Richards, on the other hand, has a right ankle injury.

Both were sustained in the World Cup qualifier against Canada on January 30 in Hamilton, Ontario, and it is not known at this time how long they will be out of action, at least until medical tests are performed.

According to the USMNT press release, no more players will be called up for the upcoming World Cup Qualifying games against Mexico, Panama, and Costa Rica.

However, what did happen was a change in the lineup for the game in order to face the match on Wednesday, February 2.

What will the USMNT lose without Adams and Richards?

USMNT midfielder Tyler Adams has captained his team in six of their 10 qualifying matches and is the key driver in the team's off-the-ball play.

Richards, on the other hand, is a key defender in Gregg Berhalter's game plan and along with Richards provides an outlet for his team when the opposition's pressure is too much.

Along with Pulisic and Zardes, both players have been responsible not only for guarding the team's midfield and goal but through their agility and accurate passing, both players make Gregg Berhalter's tactical scheme work

Their absence will be an issue for the U.S. coach.

More news about Gregg Berhalter:

Berhalter is prepared for anything, even absences

The Stars and Stripes coach said in an interview weeks before the start of the World Cup Qualifiers that he had 28 players in his squad to cope with possible absences due to absences or suspensions

And his theory was put to the test even before the start of the matches as midfielder Gianluca Busio had to sit out the USMNT due to a positive COVID-19 test

The coach would later face another absence as Timothy Weah was not cleared to enter Canada for the match against Canada because he allegedly did not have the full COVID-19 vaccination schedule

And now Berhalter faces the absence of two of his main players, which makes the match against Honduras even more difficult.

Will these absences be the cause of another USMNT defeat, which already suffered one against Canada?
