Lionel Messi confessed that he wants to play as soon as possible at Paris Saint-Germain, although he recalled that he was on vacation for a long time after winning the Copa America and that he may need a mini preseason.  The match against Brest may be Messi's turn although it could be delayed a little longer.

When asked about his condition Messi stated: "I'm coming from a vacation, more than a month off. I have already met the coaching staff and my teammates. I will do a preseason, it is key to start training well and when I am ready I will start playing. I hope it will be as soon as possible. As I train and when the coaching staff decides, I will be available," Messi said.

When will Messi make his debut for PSG?

Lionel Messi is getting ready for his PSG debut, with some predicting that Messi could be on the bench against Brescia and others more patient stipulating that August 29th would be Messi's debut against Reims.

Although the Ligue 1 season has already begun, Lionel Messi has already been spotted at PSG's training sessions and it is possible that the Argentine will make his official Ligue 1 debut for the club in a matter of days. The attacker has spent several weeks on vacation after lifting the Copa America with Argentina, and as he only signed for the French side on August 10, PSG's August 14 match against Strasbourg came too soon for him as he continues his own mini-season.
