In an unexpected move, Manchester United's offer for Mason Mount

Manchester United are looking to return to reign and dominate at the top of their game next season. Erik Ten Hag's team has established itself in a great way, but now needs reinforcements to return to be protagonists in Europe and England. However, the club's bid for a Chelsea FC player comes as a surprise.

On the Chelsea exit ramp, Manchester United are keeping an eye on Mason Mount's situation at the English club. The Red Devils have already made an approach for the playmaker and after Chelsea rejected the first offer, United are going for it.

Chelsea youth product and star, the continuity of Mason Mount at Stamford Bridge is in question. Free agent in a year, this last season has been very complicated for the English playmaker. Scorer of 3 goals and 6 assists in 35 games, Mount will be one of the victims of the ambitious market plan of the London club.

How much is Manchester United offering for Mason Mount?

So, as the Mail Online notes, United have upped their bid for Mount. After Chelsea rejected an offer valued at 46 million euros, Erik ten Hag's side are back in the game. On this occasion, the MU has raised the amount offered to €58 million. A figure that, however, does not satisfy the Blues. Looking to generate large revenues to counteract the Financial Fair Play, Chelsea continues to price the sale of Mount at around €82 million. Although Liverpool and Manchester City had been interested in Mason Mount, it is the Old Trafford side that is the big favorite.
