On the Leicester City side, Ademola Lookman scored to tie the match, but Podence's goal sealed the match, earning a valuable result for Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, which is gradually climbing up the overall standings.

Raúl Jiménez did not score in the match, but at least now he knows he is not alone in his task of scoring goals for the team coached by Bruno Lage, thus relieving the pressure a little.

The goals by Neves and Lookman, which opened the scoring, opened the score board

The duel started with Wolves attacking Leicester's goal, who did a great defensive job that lasted until the 9th minute of the first half when Neves' powerful long-distance shot opened the score 1-0.

From that point on, the Wolves' intensity dropped and the Foxes were more active in attack, although the home side also had some chances, they were stopped by the Leicester defense.

Thomas, Amartey, Pereira, and Söyüncü stood firm at the back and neutralized the home side's attacks, until the 41st minute, when, after a great team move, Lookman equalized the match 1-1.

Podence sentenced Leicester City to defeat

Everything seemed to indicate that the match was going to be tied, especially because from then on, the visitors dominated the game and did not allow Wolves to have the ball.

In fact, in the 62nd minute, the visitors came close to scoring their second goal, but the ball went over the crossbar. However, despite the dominance of Brendan Rodgers' side, the dream of a draw or win for Leicester came to an end in the 62nd minute.

With a long-range shot, Daniel Podence sealed the game and put the score at 2-1, with which Wolverhampton Wanderers FC got the victory at home.

Wolves climb up the table and sink Leicester a bit

With this victory, Wolves reached 40 points, consolidating their position in seventh place, and are now fighting for European competitions, while Leicester City fell back to the eleventh place with 27 points in the Premier League.

The next match for Raúl Jiménez's team will be more challenging than the one they faced, as next Thursday they will face Arsenal, while Leicester has a pending match against Chelsea, for which the time is not yet known.

Bruno Lage's team is having a good season, with 12 wins, 4 ties, and 8 losses, and is on a good scoring streak, with 23 goals scored so far.
