Manchester United vs Norwich City: The theater of dreams of Cristiano Ronaldo

With an impeccable hat trick from the Portuguese star, Manchester United beat Norwich City, a team at the bottom of the Premier League, who put up more of a fight than expected and put Ralf Rangnick's team on the ropes. But there was CR7 to save his team and make it 3-2 on his own. Dowell and Pukki scored the goals for the Canaries.

Ralf Rangnick's team performed well in front of their fans, despite suffering more than expected against the bottom team in the standings, the Canaries, who came from 2-0 down to equalize at the start of the second half. 

It was the home side who opened the scoring first. Elanga, with a wonderful recovery of the ball, put the goal on a silver platter for Cristiano, who only had to push the ball past Krul under the posts and put United ahead on the scoreboard after only seven minutes of play. 

Just after the first half-hour mark, the Portuguese star once again made his presence felt with an unstoppable header. The Portuguese striker flew more than his opponents to beat the jump after a fantastic assist from Telles and head the ball straight into the goal. 

United were enjoying a comfortable game in front of their home fans, with a very comfortable result to go into the break with, but just before half-time Norwich took a step forward and managed to open their account with a goal from Dowell.

All alone at the far post was the Norwich player, who received a great assist from Pukki to head the ball past David de Gea.

United paid dearly for their excessive relaxation at the back, a mistake that was repeated with the second half already underway when Norwich turned the game around with their second goal. In the 52nd minute, another United defensive blunder allowed Pukki to make it 2-2 and put the fear into Rangnick's team.

The visitors, full of morale, relentlessly stalked the opponent's area and only David de Gea's great interventions prevented the scoreboard from getting any bigger. Until Cristiano Ronaldo appeared once again to unleash madness in the Theater of Dreams. 

CR7 carefully placed the ball on the ground at a dangerous free kick in favor of the home side, took his familiar backward steps, and snorted, just before pulling out of his sleeve a brutal and powerful shot with which he was able to bend Krul's hands and sign an impeccable hat trick to give the three points to his men, his 50th professional hat-trick, his third with the Red Devils. 

Thus, Rangnick's team moved up to the fifth place, which gives access to the Europa League, with 54 points, just three points away from the Champions League places. For their part, Norwich, who fought until the end of the match, cannot move away from the last position with only 21 points, seven points away from salvation.
