Manchester United have confirmed their new head coach, which triggered Donny van de Beek's reaction to the appointment of Erik ten Hag as the Red Devils' new coach.

The Dutch midfielder's very positive reaction is due to the fact that ten Hag was his coach at Ajax, so his situation at United could change dramatically.
After Ajax announced that Erik ten Hag would be Manchester United's new head coach via his Instagram account, Donny van de Beek's reaction was seen.
In the social media post, Van de Beek was seen liking Ajax's Instagram post confirming the news, before giving a thumbs up when asked if he was happy with the decision.
The Dutch midfielder is happy about ten Hag's arrival at the Red Devils as in February 2022, he ceased to be a key part of the game plan of Ralf Rangnick, the club's now-former manager.
In that month, the player left the team on loan and went to play for Everton, and Rangnick said about his departure:
"He didn't get much playing time, but that doesn't mean he's not good enough to play in the Premier League or at Manchester United. I'm pretty sure he's going to be able to add minutes at Everton, showing what kind of player he can be."
Rangnick further stated that "Donny is a fantastic person. I met him personally in the last few weeks, but I am fully aware that he is a team player, so I want to wish him all the best."
As a result, it is already rumored that one of Ten Hag's first moves will be to bring back Van de Beek, with whom he played for Ajax in the 2018-2019 season when the club was in a great moment in which they managed to reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
And in those instances, they beat clubs like Real Madrid (with a 4-1 thrashing at the Bernabeu) and Juventus (2-1 victory in Turin) and fell in the semifinals against Tottenham.
With the Red Devils, Donny van de Beek played 50 games and scored 2 goals, before arriving at Everton, a club in which he has barely played 6 games and in which he has scored goals.
Therefore, his return to the club alongside Erik ten Hag could bring back the best of the player on the pitch, as when they were together at Ajax Amsterdam, Van de Beek's numbers were brutal.
At Ajax, Donny made 175 appearances, scoring 40 goals and providing 34 assists.
