After falling one point short in Premier League even if they managed to win their last game of the season, Liverpool FC will have one more opportunity to win their third title of the year when they face Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League.

The Reds are after their second European title since Jürgen Klopp arrived at Anfield, as they won their first Champions League together in the 2018-19 season, when they beat 2-0 Tottenham Hotspur in Wanda Metropolitano.
A year before, they were the runners-up, but Real Madrid prevented Liverpool from lifting their sixth Champions League, as they beat 3-1 the Reds in Kiev’s Olympic Stadium, a game that was marked by the referees’ decisions and the injury of Mohamed Salah.
Now, four seasons later, they will meet once again, this time in Stade de France, in Paris, where Liverpool are looking to leave behind the ghosts of the Kiev’s final and be them who lift the European Cup, although that’s not the only thing that they want to beat Real Madrid for, as both teams are pursuing the addition of a young promising talent.
Both Liverpool and Real Madrid are looking to strengthen their squad for next season, as they know that they need to improve constantly to be able to keep fighting at the top spots of their respective leagues and in the European tournaments.
That’s why they both have set their eyes in Aurélien Tchouaméni, midfielder that currently plays for Ligue 1 side AS Monaco. Even if the 22-year-old midfielder is under contract with Les Rouges et Blancs until 2024, he knows that next season he’ll be wearing a new jersey.
According to French sport news outlet RMC Sports, both teams have agreed to terms with the Frenchman, although Monaco has still to make a decision on which offer they will accept for Tchouaméni, as well as the team that he prefers to play for in the next few years.
According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is set at $43 million, reports suggest that Monaco are expecting an offer for $75 million, a sum that both teams can pay. But it seems like Tchouaméni is waiting for both teams to clash in Paris before deciding which one will be his new team.
