FC Barcelona would be absolutely immersed in the plans for the next season once they already know that Xavi Hernandez won’t continue in the club at the end of the season, which would have forced the president Joan Laporta to search for a new manager in the market to develop a new project at the institution.

In his research, the Catalan dirigeant would have already made some discards, and he would be now focused in negotiating with just a couple of managers according to the latest information appearing in the Catalan sporting journal Sport, revealing the current target list of Barça’s boss.
On this list, the first manager to have been dropped would be the Italian manager and former Barcelona player Thiago Motta, who will remain in Serie A as the manager of Bologna, while Jürgen Klopp and Ruben Amorim would have also turned down as options for the Catalan club.
In this sense, and according to the information given by Sport, Laporta would have still held conversations for ex Bayern’s Hansi Flick and Brighton's coach Roberto de Zerbi, but a new and surprising name would have been added to the list.

Following the sources of Sport, Thomas Tuchel, currently working for Bayern Munich would have offered himself to Barcelona, knowing that his stage at the Bavarian team could be ended at the end of the season, and granting the Culers a top option for their bench, as the German manager already won the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021 and knows how to coach at the highest level of football.
