Italian striker Mario Balotelli keeps on impressing with his long and exotic football career, as the former Liverpool player profited the January transfer market window to start a new challenge in an unexpected destination after having failed in his latest adventures in Italian and Turkish clubs.

In this sense, it would be worth remembering that the Italian 33-year-old player, who joined Liverpool in 2014 from Manchester City for €20 million, has played since then for AC Milan, OGC Nice, Marseille, Brescia and Monza, having had a short period of two years playing for the Turkish side Adana Demirspor before joining Sion, his last club before becoming a free agent on the last 15 September and joining again his former Turkish club.
In this respect, it could be mentioned that in Switzerland, his adventure turned into an ordeal: between alcoholic parties, middle fingers to opposing supporters, withdrawal of his license, poor diet, insults towards the Swiss football league, his contract was amicably terminated by summer 2023 with the supporters even burned his jersey shortly before his departure. It was therefore in the Turkish city of Adana that he sought new redemption, while his former coach, Vincenzo Montella, with whom he had fought in the middle of a match, was no longer in charge of the Turkish club.

However, after a few months, Super Mario scored 3 goals in 5 matches, including one in the first 11 appearances, during his second season in the Mavi Şimşekler jersey, before relapsing with an injury. Indeed, Mario Balotelli underwent successful surgery in Italy for a serious knee injury and recently completed the treatment process. The time has come to begin rehabilitation. But according to information from our Turkish colleagues at Fanatik newspaper, Mario Balotelli's adventure at Adana Demirspor will end this winter, when the Turkish management should come to an agreement with the 33-year-old Italian player to part ways amicably during this month of January, synonymous with the winter transfer window, where he’ll try to start a new challenge somewhere else.
