Liverpool are in the thick of the Premier League title race, which they are directly challenging Arsenal and Manchester City, as all three occupy the top spots in what looks to be a race to the finish to see who will be crowned champions of the best league in the world. In the most recent English soccer matchday, the Reds missed an important opportunity to consolidate their position at the top of the table.

Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool visited Old Trafford to take on fierce rivals Manchester United in a match where, had they won, the Reds would have taken sole possession of top spot in the Premier League. However, despite dominating the match and generating many more scoring opportunities than the Red Devils, they ended up drawing 2-2, a result that leaves them tied on points (71) with the Gunners, albeit with a lower goal difference and therefore in second place.
Liverpool will now have to wait for Arsenal to slip up and, in addition, obtain as many points as possible to regain the Premier League leadership. In that sense, it should be noted that the team coached by Mike Arteta still has to face Manchester United, but in Jürgen Klopp's opinion, the London team should not have many problems to beat them, especially if they play at the same level as they did against the Reds.
"If Manchester United play like they did today, Arsenal are going to win the game. 100% sure," said Klopp in a press conference after Liverpool's draw against United. This harsh statement has generated annoyance among Red Devils fans, who have taken it as a criticism of the level shown by their team this season, which has them in sixth place in the table, far from the Champions League places.

Manchester United is still several weeks away from facing Arsenal at Old Trafford. It will be until May 11 when the Gunners must visit the Theater of Dreams, although it should be noted that in between is the UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie in which Arsenal must face Bayern Munich.
