Juventus, in their persistent pursuit of a new defensive stalwart, have set their sights on Barcelona's Ronald Araujo. However, with the Catalan club yet to finalize a contract renewal with the Uruguayan, the Bianconeri have identified another potential target: Chelsea's Axel Disasi.

Disasi's Uncertain Future at Stamford Bridge Acquired by Chelsea for a substantial fee of €45 million, Disasi has struggled to secure a regular starting role under manager Enzo Maresca. This has led to speculation surrounding the French defender's future, with Juventus emerging as a potential destination.

The Old Lady is reportedly considering a loan deal with an obligation to buy for Disasi, a structure that would align with Chelsea's potential willingness to part ways with the player. Given Juventus' previous dealings with Chelsea, the Italian giants are well-versed in the Premier League club's valuation and negotiation tactics.

Juventus' Defensive Concerns Juventus have been actively seeking to bolster their defense in recent transfer windows. The departure of key defenders in previous seasons has left a void in the Bianconeri backline. Disasi, with his physicality and aerial prowess, is seen as a potential solution to these defensive woes.

The 26-year-old Frenchman has already proven himself capable of playing at the highest level, and his experience in the Premier League would be a valuable asset to the Serie A giants. However, Juventus will face competition from other European clubs interested in acquiring Disasi's services.

Araujo Remains a Priority While Disasi has emerged as an intriguing option, Juventus have not abandoned their pursuit of Ronald Araujo. The Uruguayan defender has been a standout performer for Barcelona, and his ability to play both as a center-back and a right-back makes him a highly coveted player.

However, Barcelona are keen to retain Araujo and are working hard to tie him down to a new long-term contract. The Catalan club are aware of the interest from Juventus and other top European clubs, and they are determined to keep one of their most promising young talents.

January Transfer Window The January transfer window will be crucial for both Juventus and Chelsea. The Bianconeri will need to act quickly if they want to secure the signing of Disasi, while Chelsea will need to decide whether to keep the French defender or cash in on him.

With the transfer market heating up, it remains to be seen whether Juventus will be successful in their pursuit of either Disasi or Araujo. However, one thing is certain: the Bianconeri are determined to strengthen their squad and challenge for honors both domestically and in Europe.
