The worst moment of Mexican forwards in MLS

This 2020 season is atypical for all players; the ineffectiveness due to Covid seems to have affected the performance of many MLS players. This is the case of the Mexican forwards, who usually have a high percentage of effectiveness in terms of goals; it seems that they were greatly affected.

Rodolfo Pizzarro, from Inter Miami, is the one at the top of the Mexican scorer’s table, with a total of 3 goals, very little for what he is used to. Then he is followed by Oswaldo Alanís, who although his team the SJ Earthquakes is having a very bad sporting moment, he could only score twice.

The players who attract the most attention are Jonathan Dos Santos and Chicharito Hernandez. The LA Galaxy teammates only have one goal between the two, being scored by Chicharito. This lack of goal has produced that the Mexicans receive a great amount of criticism from the press and have been questioned by their followers.

A separate case is that of Carlos Vela since he had scored two goals when he was injured and had to miss several games. He currently does not have a stipulated date to return to the courts, but his team needs it, since he lost all the games in which the Mexican was not. The goal production of the Mexicans is very low at the moment, but everyone expects them to wake up and show again why they are among the best in MLS.
