During the last years it was normal to hear that the successor of Lionel Messi was going to be arriving soon from any part of the world. We could hear how many young talented players were called as the Argentinian successor’s but, at the end, couldn’t fulfill the expectations generated.
One of those players who is supposed to have a great talent and is being compared to Messi has appeared at the MLS. His name is Christian Torres, he is only 16 years old, and he has been forming himself aside Carlos Vela at LAFC during the past seasons.
After making his official debut it is said that his progression has been incredible in the last months and that he will soon be a regular player from the starting XI. Until now, he helped head coach Bob Bradley when some of their companions, as Vela or MLS striker Diego Rossi were missing.
Torres was formed at LA Galaxy academy but changed to LAFC at September 2018 after the creation of the new side at Los Angeles. So far, he played eight games and scored one goal. Now LAFC will face Seattle Sounders on MLS Cup Playoffs and Torres is willing to play some minutes and help his team.
