The Major League Soccer season is over and this star clearly does not want to return to Mexico.

Carlos Vela arrived to Los Angeles FC as Mexican striker that would try to earn his place, he was not Ibrahimovic, Rooney or David Villa. Eventually he became one of the best players of the league and now they want him to play for Liga MX. But he is too comfortable, so he does not want to return.

The exact same thing happened with Lucas Zelarayán this season. He was the MVP of Columbus Crew scoring two goals against Seattle Sounders in the MLS Cup Final. His performance was unbelievable, and when he talked to the media after the title, he said something to his former team in Mexico.

He said that this title was the most important of his career. He did win trophies playing for the Tigres, but he claimed that when the important games came, the team decided to put him on the bench. That’s why the titles in Tigres as not as important as this one for Zelarayán, who win the MVP in his first year in the MLS.

Does this story sound familiar? This is not the first player that finds a really good place in the USA to play and became an international star and then says that he does not want to return to Mexico. It happened to Carlos Vela, it happened to Lucas Zelarayán and it will keep happening if the teams at Liga MX keep making bad decisions.
