Neymar has been involved with games in the past, as he partnered with Fortnite to have his own skin in the game. It was an exciting time to be a football (soccer) and videogame fan. But now Cristiano Ronaldo excites football fans as he is partnered with Strikerz Inc. to make a new football game that could compete with the best football game on the market, EAFC. Yesterday, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S users were lucky enough to play the Open Beta of UFL. It is a brand new football simulation that will attempt to compete with other football games like EAFC and eFootball. Ronaldo is the main ambassador of the game, and its open beta will be available until tomorrow at the end of the day. It is a test to see how video game players react to the graphics, the gameplay, the menus, and the plan going forward with online gaming. CR7 reportedly invested more than $40 million into developing the game, and he is heavily involved in “shaping UFL’s development to set a new standard for immersive football gaming.”

The game includes thousands of real-life players as cards, similar to Ultimate Team in EAFC 24. On the Open Beta, there are a few licensed teams that allow you to play a quick game offline with friends. There are also a few licensed stadiums, like the AS Monaco ground, the Louis II Stadium.

Over 1 million downloads of the open beta happened this past day as many wanted to try out the new football game that can become a new competitor with EAFC. UFL wants the videogame players to give feedback on what needs to improve in order to be ready for the release. Ronaldo was named the cover star of the game in 2022.
