Lionel Messi has finally unveiled his hydration drink called Más + Messi and revealed the flavors of the drink. Cristiano Ronaldo has a water brand that helps consumers be hydrated as well, and many fans now see it as another competition they will both have. Messi posted a picture of him and his family promoting the new drink on his Instagram. He wrote, “Mas by Messi was created because I wanted to have a drink that I could share and enjoy with my family, friends, and colleagues. I want to thank my family for joining this journey with me as the founder of Más+.” The Argentine star will sell his drink in Miami first before it goes for sale all across the United States in the summer. This would make it difficult for Ronaldo to compete since his URSU water is sold in Europe and is cheaper, for less than $1, depending on the type of bottle one gets.
Messi spoke about the opportunity to have his own hydration drink on the US market, which will likely be successful due to his popularity in the US and around the world. The Inter Miami star said, “This was a new experience for me. It is a very beautiful experience and I was lucky to enjoy it with my family. It was a new experience for all of us. They are very very happy with what we have achieved. They are excited for it to come out and can’t wait to have it at home.”
The drink will have four flavors to choose from at the time of launch. The flavors are Miami Punch, Orange d’Or, Berry Copa Crush, and Limon Lime League. Many of us are excited to try it out, but it won’t be available until July. 12x12oz cans will be available to purchase throughout the US according to AS
Last year, Ronaldo unveiled his water brand, URSU, which is his alkaline and antioxidant water brand. It is available in countries in Europe, such as Spain, Portugal, and the UK. Close to reaching a year since launch, it is expected to have over 50 million bottles in production for the first year.
