Sergio Aguero is a Manchester City legend and was one of the greatest strikers to ever play in the Premier League. Many football fans were sad to see him retire from football after his heart condition forced him to quit professional football, but he continues to show his love for the game as he participates in a 7v7 tournament by TST. What he didn’t enjoy was the tough challenge he received during a game he played in. Aguero was dribbling the ball, and as he reached for the ball, the defender stuck his leg out and clipped Aguero on the shin. The Argentine goes down in pain, but he gets up and confronts the defender. Aguero looks for him and pushes him, but then he gets pushed back. The two players squared off and threw insults at each other while another player from Aguero’s team pushed the defender. The situation cools down as they are separated, but it was not a nice welcome back on the field for the Man City legend.
Despite this heated altercation, Manchester City and football fans were happy to see the Argentine star back on the field after his heart problems that forced him to retire in 2021. Aguero was wearing the brand-new Manchester City jersey that the team will wear next season. Aguero still shows his love for the club he spent the most during his career.
Aguero played a total of 390 matches for Manchester City across all competitions. He scored a total of 260 goals and provided 65 assists. With Man City, he won five Premier League titles, one FA Cup, six English League cups, and three FA Community Shields. He was at Man City from the summer of 2011 till the summer of 2021 and is the club’s all-time top goalscorer.
Although Aguero is a football legend, he also showcased that great strikers could miss golden chances. In the 7v7 he played in, Aguero was one-on-one with the keeper, and as he got closer, he took a shot and went wide. It was surprising since the Man City legend was very clinical in front of goal, but it had been three years without playing.
