Liverpool won another trophy under Jurgen Klopp, and emotions were high among the Liverpool players and staff. It was a dramatic final for both Liverpool and Chelsea as both teams had chances to score throughout the 120 minutes. Liverpool fans are celebrating this win a lot because it could be the last trophy Klopp could win as Liverpool's manager since he will leave at the end of the season. While Liverpool won the trophy in the end, Klopp did not forget some of the incidents that occurred during the game.

Liverpool suffered an injury early in the game when Ryan Gravenberch went down in the 23rd minute. A late tackle from Moises Caicedo led to Gravenberch hurting his ankle and leaving the pitch on a stretcher. This annoyed Jurgen Klopp because the tackle was reckless, and the referee did not give out a card. Klopp was annoyed at more tough tackles on Liverpool players as Caicedo continued to hurt other players like Endo. After the game, Endo was seen limping and walking on crutches.
Klopp was also annoyed about the Liverpool goal disallowed in the second half when Virgil Van Dijk was in a good position, but Endo being offside disallowed the goal. Klopp was not happy with the officiating, and as Liverpool got the win in the end, Klopp did not forget to show his disgust to the referee. As the game ended and Liverpool's celebrations started, Klopp walked up to the officiating team on the pitch. Klopp shakes the hands of the linesman and purposely skips the main referee, Chris Kavanagh. Klopp was displeased with his performance and even talked about his officiating after the trophy celebrations.

Jurgen Klopp took the time to call out the referee for his decision-making in the game and was not happy. Klopp said, "There were two teams that were fighting extremely hard, and the referee was not at the level of the game; that's how it is. I'm sorry for that, I know they'll make a story out of that but - it wasn't even a foul? He didn't even whistle for a foul. And then, the fourth official explains to me 'we cannot give a card because -' oh, good idea. These boys they are, I'm not sure if it is too much or too quick for them but that situation, it was obvious."
