Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappé faced each other in the quarterfinals of the EUROS as the match was between Portugal and France. Neither of the stars scored a goal in the match, and it ended 0-0 after 120 minutes. Mbappé's French team managed to beat Ronaldo's Portugal 5-3 in the penalty shootout. The French star did not take a penalty in the shootout because he was subbed off in extra time. Mbappé managed to beat his idol in a major tournament, and he is getting closer to reaching the European Championship final. The French star was very humble after the match and made sure to be respectful to Ronaldo and his family. After the match, Mbappé met Ronaldo's family, who attended the match yesterday. They all took pictures together, and Mbappé got to meet the mother of the Portuguese legend. It shows that Mbappé continues to be a huge fan of Ronaldo and wants to say hello to his family despite just beating his team at the EUROS.

Ronaldo and Mbappé showed respect towards each other in the game and before extra time as well. The two players have a great admiration towards one another, especially the French star who admits to admire Ronaldo for many years. Mbappé will be making his move to Real Madrid this summer, and he will play for them next season. Ronaldo even was happy for him to make his dream move to Real Madrid and wished him luck. CR7 is a club legend at Real Madrid, and Mbappé looks forward to writing his own story.
