Spain continues to shine in the EUROS in Germany as their wingers, Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams, continue to torment the defenders they go up against. They are one of the favorites to win this competition this summer as the two are very electric on the attack, especially on counterattacks. Last night, in the 4-1 win against Georgia, Nico Williams and Yamal were amazing again, and the young duo showcased once again why they are two of the players of the tournament so far. During one of the goals that Spain scored, Williams and Yamal celebrated together in what used to be a celebration that Neymar used to do during his time at Santos. Yamal and Williams have mentioned in the past how they admire Neymar, and this tribute celebration to the Brazilian superstar demonstrated that. The two young Spanish players are enjoying their football at the EUROS and are exciting FC Barcelona fans since Yamal is the future of the club, and Williams could be the signing.

Squawka reports that Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal have completed more take-ons combined (20) than 11 entire nations at Euro 2024. Yamal has provided two assists at the EUROS so far, which is a record that one of the greatest players of all time used to have two years ago. Yamal is the first European teenager to have multiple assists at a major tournament since Cristiano Ronaldo had two assists for Portugal in Euro 2004.

Nico Williams has started in four out of three Spanish matches in the EUROS so far. Williams scored and assisted in the 4-1 win against Georgia. Opta Joe reports that Williams is also the only player on record at the UEFA European Championship (since 1980) to score a goal, assist a goal, and complete 100% of his passes (46/46) in a game he started.

Nico Williams to FC Barcelona?

Nico Williams is reportedly the top target for FC Barcelona this summer transfer window. He has a release clause close to $60 million. Barça would want to try negotiating with Athletic Bilbao to pay the sum in installments. The Catalan club's new manager, Hansi Flick, is also interested in bringing him into the squad for next season. Williams already has a great relationship with Yamal, Pedri, and Ferran Torres, who currently play for FC Barcelona.
