The harsh attack that Vinicius and Real Madrid suffered from this England legend

Real Madrid yesterday won an epic match against Atletico Madrid, in a duel that corresponded to the semifinal of the Spanish Super Cup. With a 5-3 result in extra time, Carlo Ancelotti's team now awaits its rival between Osasuna and FC Barcelona, who will play today.

Beyond the match, one of the most curious news was afterwards, when in a video for EA Sports, an England legend strongly criticized Vinícius Jr, and the news has gone more than viral on social networks. This is Jamie Carragher, legend of Liverpool and England, who surprised him with his criticism.

The video consisted of him and Gary Neville having to choose the Team of the Year for EA Sports 2024, and Neville was quick to nominate Vinicius Jr, arguing that he had scored many goals. These were his words: "EA's team of the year is from 2023 and the World Cup was in 2022. If it were in 2023, Messi would be there. But it wasn't. In 2023, he was eliminated with PSG in the Champions League and then played in "Miami. My chosen player is Vinicius. He has been sensational for Real Madrid."

Carragher replied fiercely: "I chose Messi for the MLS, he scored incredible goals. What did Vinicius do this season?" The discussion heated up, and Neville replied ""In 44 games he has scored 18 goals and 17 assists, that's 35 goal contributions", defending Vinicius.

Faced with Neville's arguments, Carragher was not satisfied and commented: "He did it for Real Madrid in a joke league, in a joke league. What did Real Madrid win? He didn't even win LaLiga...".
