The 21-year-old Brazilian, who joined Arsenal in 2022 from São Paulo, has spent the current season on loan at Fluminense. Despite showing flashes of brilliance, Marquinhos has struggled to secure a regular starting place in the Gunners' first team.

With limited opportunities in North London, the young winger is now seeking a club where he can consistently showcase his talents. Internacional, one of Brazil's most successful clubs, have identified Marquinhos as a potential replacement for Wesley Moraes, who is set to join Russian side Krasnodar.

Arsenal's Marquinhos Set to Return to Brazil

Negotiations between Internacional and Arsenal are said to be progressing positively, with the Brazilian club keen to secure Marquinhos on a permanent deal. While the terms of the potential transfer have not been disclosed, it is believed that Arsenal would be willing to accept a fee for the young winger.

Marquinhos' time at Fluminense has been a mixed bag. The Brazilian youth international impressed with his pace and dribbling skills, but he was unable to cement his place in the starting XI. Despite this, his performances have caught the eye of several clubs in Brazil and Europe.

A move to Internacional would represent a significant opportunity for Marquinhos to further his career in his home country. The club's passionate fanbase and rich history would provide the perfect environment for the young winger to develop his game.
