Manchester United are looking to spend big this summer, as many players could be on their way out of the club. Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants to have a fresh new team for next season and could even remove Erik Ten Hag as the manager, depending on the results of the rest of the season. While Manchester United picks the players they would like to sell for big prices, the club is targeting highly valuable players who cost a lot. Man United has been targeting new defenders as the position lacks depth, but the club is also looking for a striker. Rasmus Hojlund has been doing great recently, but the club wants another striker to compete with him or even partner up with him.

Ben Jacobs reports that RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško and Brighton’s Evan Ferguson are two potential striker options for Manchester United this summer. Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee is on United’s radar as well. Šeško and Zirkzee are available for under $63 million. The two strikers outside of Europe seem to be the type of profile the club is looking for. While Man United are interested in the two strikers, the club could consider signing Evan Ferguson instead.
Evan Ferguson has Premier League experience, as he became the main striker for Brighton. The issue is the price tag Brighton has out on him. Ferguson is reportedly worth at least $100 million. The Irish striker is currently in bad form, as he has not scored since November. Last season, he started to get more recognition because he scored six goals in 19 matches. Ferguson is 19 years old, and his performances last season interested many teams in the Premier League.

Evan Ferguson has looked like a shadow compared to last season, which makes many United fans worried that the club is interested in him. Ferguson and Ireland took on Belgium this past weekend, and it ended at 0-0. Ferguson missed a penalty in the 28th minute and he continues to be goalless since November.
