Cristiano Ronaldo will soon be thinking about the upcoming season with Al Nassr. The Saudi Pro League has been signing quality players over the past year but now the my have shown vulnerability as players are starting to leave the clubs to play back at Europe. Ronaldo, on the other hand, wants Al Nassr to continue signing quality players for the upcoming season.

Al Nassr may not be signing any key players for next season but instead could be losing key players this summer that will only make the team weaker. Ronaldo may not be happy to hear that one of Al Nassr’s most important players could leave this summer to return to Europe.

Aymeric Laporte may return to La Liga after just one full season at Al Nassr. Laporte had an incredible EUROS with Spain this summer, and now Real Madrid may want to sign him. Los Blancos missed out on Leny Yoro, who will play for Manchester United next season. Ronaldo’s former club may sabotage Al Nassr’s upcoming season, which the Portuguese striker will not appreciate.

Laporte had an exceptional EUROS with Spain, which led to their team winning the whole competition. He was benched for the first match of their EUROS against Croatia, but from there, he started in the rest of the six matches of the competition. He played the full matches in the knockout stages and against Italy in the group stage. In the EURO 2024 Final against England, Laporte was the most accurate passes to play 45 minutes or more, with a 95%.

Laporte played in Athletic Bilbao for many years before joining Manchester City in the summer of 2017. The Spanish defender would be key for Real Madrid since he is still 30 and could add experience in the defense. He played a total of 222 matches for the club, where he scored ten goals and provided six assists.

Laporte's time at Al Nassr

Aymeric Laporte joined Al Nassr last summer for over $28 million from Manchester City. His contract with the Saudi Pro League club expires in the summer of 2026. He played a total of 39 matches for Al Nassr this past season across all competitions. He played in the AFC Champions League, the King's Cup, the Saudi Super Cup, and the Saudi Pro League.
