FC Barcelona finally announced that Hansi Flick will be the new team manager next season, and many Barça fans are excited. The German manager has been on the radar for FC Barcelona for the past couple of months when Xavi announced that he was set to leave the club at the end of the season. Many reports suggested that the Catalan club has been interested in the manager, and Flick was willing to wait for the club to decide whether to appoint him for next season or not. Now, the manager has different transfer targets for the team this upcoming summer transfer window. One of the players that Flick could bring to the team is Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich. The club wants to sign a defensive midfielder this summer, and Kimmich could now be a realistic target since he was coached by Flick at Bayern a few years ago. Another player who could also join the club is Javi Guerra from Valencia CF. Valencia values The young Spanish midfielder at $20 million, and the talks could continue depending on Flick’s wishes.

Kimmich was labeled as the star player Flick would want to bring to the club if he joined. Now, since it is official, the German manager may help Barcelona bring the German midfielder from Bayern Munich to join. Kimmich’s contract with Bayern expires in the summer of 2025, and Barcelona may be able to sign him for a lower price than his current market value of $50 million. Some reports suggest that the transfer fee could be around $40 million or potentially less.

Flick spoke about his preferred style of play and hinted at what is to be expected from the team next season. Flick said, “My style of play? I like to have possession of the ball and an offensive way. These are the aspects that I like and we are going to work for it.”
