FC Barcelona has many legends that have amazed the football world, but some football fans believe that the club is not respectful of some of their legends. The claim has been circling around once again as Xavi Hernandez is leaving the club after the club president, Joan Laporta, informed him that he would no longer be managing the team next season. Unlike other legends like Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez made a great gesture as he left the club. Mundo Deportivo reports that Xavi has decided to forgive the entire €12M of his salary for next season. Xavi had a contract with FC Barcelona until the summer of 2025, and he was willing to forgive the salary after he decided to part ways with the club at the end of the season when he announced to leave earlier this year. He has kept his promise, and this will benefit the Catalan club due to its financial issues.

When will Hansi Flick be announced as the new FC Barcelona coach?

Hansi Flick is set to be the new manager of FC Barcelona next season, and many fans are waiting for the official announcement. Gerard Moreno reports that Hansi Flick will be announced officially tomorrow. Sport reports a few details of what Flick would like to start working on with the squad and the club. Flick has been monitoring the Barça youth teams in La Masia for two months through one of his assistants. He has a detailed report and is very excited to give the youth players the opportunity.

Flick is reportedly counting on Robert Lewandowski next season, who was rumored to leave the club while Xavi was there. Sport reports that Xavi didn’t want Lewandowski to stay because of his attitude towards the young players. He and his coaching staff wanted a leader with more empathy and understanding. They also wanted a forward with more energy and intensity, especially for the first pressure line. The main focus appears to be the youth at FC Barcelona under the tenure of Hansi Flick, which excites fans and the young players in the squad like Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi, Pedri, Alejandro Balde, Gavi, Fermin Lopez, and more.
