The Independent reports that Jurgen Klopp is likely to take a different job from being a manager after he leaves Liverpool. While Klopp will take a year off, his former club, Borussia Dortmund, reportedly wants to bring the German coach back to the club but as the head of football. Klopp's role would be similar to that of a sporting director of the club and could decide on the transfers. Klopp has been a manager since 2001 when he started at Mainz 05.

For Mainz, Klopp coached 270 matches, and he guided the team to 111 wins, 73 draws, and 86 losses. For Dortmund, he coached a total of 319 matches in all competitions. With BVB, Klopp guided them to 181 wins, 65 draws, and 73 losses. Klopp was at Mainz from 2001 to 2008, and in Dortmund, he stayed there from 2008 to 2015. Klopp is regarded as a legend in both clubs as he was a reference to the play style of both teams.

Klopp joined Liverpool in October 2015 and coached the most games with the Reds. With Liverpool, the German coached 486 matches so far and will end with 489. Klopp and Liverpool have 302 wins, 99 draws, and 85 losses together. Klopp will end his Liverpool career in a few weeks, as he lasted over 3,180 days. With Mainz, Klopp was in charge of the team for 2,679 days, and with Dortmund, he stayed there for 2,555 days.
