Neymar and Lionel Messi have played together in two different teams throughout their careers. First they coincided at FC Barcelona, where they formed one of the most powerful tridents in European soccer alongside Luis Suarez, which was known as the MSN (Messi-Suarez-Neymar). Later they coincided at Paris Saint-Germain, where although they won the French league, they did not feel so comfortable, to the point where the Brazilian said that both lived "hell" in the Parisian club.

A few weeks ago, Neymar was questioned about his future and whether he would like to play again with Lionel Messi and his answer caused a lot of excitement among Inter Miami fans, as he said that yes, he would love to play again with his great friend. "I hope we can play together again. Leo is a great person, everyone knows him in soccer and I think he is very happy and if he is happy, so am I," said Neymar.
However, the Brazilian is under contract with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, where he earns one of the highest salaries in the world. According to the portal Salary Sport, Ney receives just over $131 million a year with his current club, a figure that would be unaffordable for Inter Miami. Still, the idea that Neymar could come to MLS and reunite with Messi and Suarez continues to cause a lot of expectation, especially after the Brazilian took a picture with the Miami jersey.
But it was not the Inter Miami jersey, but the NBA's Miami Heat. Neymar attended a game of Jimmy Butler's team and was presented with a jersey. Even so, many have interpreted this as a wink from the Brazilian star to the club where Lionel Messi plays, since a few days ago he was also spotted at the Miami Open.

When he was still a Paris Saint-Germain player, Neymar was asked about the possibility of him returning to play in Brazil, to which he replied that he had doubts about it. However, when talking about MLS, Ney was much more open and said that he would indeed like to play at least one year in the United States. "I would love to play in the United States, actually. I would love to play there for at least one season," he said.
