FC Barcelona had brilliant Brazilians in the past, like Neymar and Ronaldinho, but now the club will put their trust in a Brazilian striker rather than a winger. Vitor Roque signed with FC Barcelona last summer, but he joined the team in January. The Brazilian has played a couple of minutes since his arrival but has scored goals for the team already. Roque has played nine matches for FC Barcelona in La Liga, scoring two goals when he came off the bench. He only started in one match, but he is gaining confidence from FC Barcelona's manager Xavi. While some fans consider that a loan move seems the best for him, Roque's agent, Andre Cury, disagrees.

In an interview with Què T'hi Jugues, Cury spoke about Vitor Roque's time at FC Barcelona so far. Roque has been rumored to potentially be loaned out, but Cury shuts those rumors down. Cury said, "Vitor is very happy at Barça and there’s no chance for a loan. He’s very good physically and mentally, and he is waiting for more minutes to prove it on the field. Xavi loves him very much.
Cury also mentions that there are clubs currently interested in signing Roque if the Brazilian looks for a team where he can get more minutes. Offers for Roque are reportedly over $50 million. Cury said, "The truth is that there is a queue of clubs ready to pay $54 million even now for Vitor Roque. Vitor will not go anywhere even if he is loaned out. He is determined to succeed at Barça.”
