Jose Mourinho joining Fenerbahce in Turkey surprised many as he was like to coaching in many different places. He was rumored to coach in the Premier League, then potentially returning to Italy and then even taking a job in Saudi Arabia. The 'Special One' was rumored to coach Cristiano Ronaldo at Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr this summer, which would've been a reunion between the Portuguese countrymen. That move didn't happen, and rumors suggest that he wants to bring in CR7 to Turkey, but the move seems very unlikely. The Portuguese star is likely to stay at Al Nassr next season and fulfill his contract with the club, which expires in the summer of 2025. The number 7 that Mourinho and Fenerbahce could sign is the Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata. Reports in Turkey suggest that Fenerbahce has held talks with Atletico Madrid to sign Alvaro Morata and Caglar Söyüncü. Mortata will take it into consideration, along with interest in former clubs in Europe, as he may look to move on from Atelti.

The reports suggest that AS Roma, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, and Manchester United are interested in the 31-year-old Spanish striker. Morata's contract with Atletico Madrid expires in the summer of 2026. About two weeks ago, he hinted that moving away would be the next option.

Morata said, "I see on the press that Atlético Madrid want to sign 8 strikers, I will be clear… it looks like I'm NOT the priority of the club. I'll turn 32 in October, I can't stay at Atléti and not play, not being the priority."

He scored a total of 21 goals and provided five assists across all competitions. He earned a call-up to the Spanish national team for the EUROS, and he scored in the 3-0 win against Croatia.
