Lionel Messi is preparing for Copa America with the Argentina national team, but in a recent interview, he caused a lot of shock by his words. In an interview with InfoBae, Messi was asked who the best team in the world is, and the Argentina star responded by naming the rival club he has faced for many years during his time at FC Barcelona. Messi said, “Real Madrid is the best team in the world, they have won the Champions League. If you go by results, Real Madrid is the best. If you go by level of the game, I think Manchester City are the best.” FC Barcelona fans were annoyed to hear arguably the biggest legend of the club complimenting Real Madrid, but others appreciated the honesty. Even Cristiano Ronaldo fans were happy to see Messi’s response and respected Messi for being honest on his answer despite being an FC Barcelona legend and fan. Some Barcelona fans admitted that the situation their club is in compared to Real Madrid and acknowledged Messi to be unbiased.
