Inter Miami drew 2-2 against Nashville SC in the GEODIS Park in the 1st leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16. Inter Miami started the game poorly, as they conceded in the first five minutes of the game. Inter Miami trailed 1-0 down at halftime, but it got better for them in the second half. After 90 minutes, Inter Miami finds themselves in a great spot ahead of the second leg.

It didn't take long for Nashville to take the lead against Inter Miami at home. In the 4th minute, Jacob Shaffelburg scored for Nashville in a lethal attack. Shaffelburg dribbles to the Inter Miami box with pace and slams the ball in the center of the net past Drake Callender. The powerful shot went over Callender, and he couldn't do much as the ball had a lot of pace.
The second half started like the first, as Nashville scored early again. In the 46th minute, Shaffelburg scored his brace as he curled a shot on the edge of the box from the left side. The Canadian sent the ball into the top right corner.

Six minutes after Nashville scored their second goal, Lionel Messi grabbed one back for Inter Miami. In the 52nd minute, Messi's goal gave Inter Miami hope. From outside the box, Suarez lays the ball to Messi just outside the box. Messi takes a few touches and then curls the ball into the bottom left corner to make it 2-1.
Inter Miami scored late in the second half after a great play by the edge of the box. Sergio Busquets from the right side sends a perfect cross to Luis Suarez who is all alone in the box. Suarez easily heads the ball into the net from close range in the 95th minute and made it 2-2. Next week, the second leg will be played in Inter Miami's Chase Stadium.
