PSG will lose arguably their greatest player in the club’s history, Kylian Mbappé, this summer as he is set to join Real Madrid as a free agent. Many PSG fans are wondering who the club will plan to bring in to replace Mbappé or how many players they will sign to fill in the huge gap that the French star left. PSG manager Luis Enrique hinted that it will be more than four players that the club will sign this summer transfer window. One of the players PSG could go for this summer is Atletico Madrid player Antoine Griezmann. The French attacker has had an amazing season with Atletico Madrid, and his price this summer could make it easy for PSG to negotiate a deal for him. Foot Mercato reports that Griezmann is available for just over $15m this summer because of a clause in his contract with Atletico Madrid. It is reported that several European and American clubs are interested in him. PSG could potentially offer a salary of $13.3 million, since that is what he reportedly earns at Atletico Madrid.

Griezmann’s contract with Atletico Madrid expires in the summer of 2026, and he signed his new contract with Atletico Madrid last summer from FC Barcelona. The French attacker is a legend at Atletico Madrid, as he has played a total of 389 matches for the Spanish club throughout his career. He is the top goalscorer of the club, scoring 181 goals across all competitions and providing 84 assists.

This season, Griezmann played a total of 48 matches for Atletico Madrid in all competitions. He scored a total of 24 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions. He is 33 years old, but his time in Europe may soon be over unless PSG swoops in to sign him this summer as Mbappé's replacement. Griezmann can play as a striker and as an attacking midfielder, which would offer PSG a different dynamic in the attack. The move could also bring eyes to PSG games since the player is very popular in France. Two obstacles for PSG to complete the move could be the player’s desire to stay at Atletico Madrid or his desire to move to the United States.
