PSG will lose Kylian Mbappé this summer for free as the French attacker will not renew his contract. It seems like a terrible mistake from the French club since Mbappé is regarded as arguably the best player in the world and is worth around $180 million. Fabrizio Romano reports that Mbappé will leave as a free agent, but PSG estimates that more than $200 million will be saved. His contract includes a one-year extension that is not triggered, and this season’s loyalty bonus of around $80m will not be paid. PSG will use the money saved for four to five players during this summer transfer window.

PSG is interested in the Napoli duo Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, as well as new defenders for depth in the squad. Lucas Hernandez's injury, which he suffered in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal against Borussia Dortmund, kept him out for the rest of the season and will keep him out from the start of the next season. Napoli wants to keep Kvara for another season while they expect that Osimhen will be sold; PSG is one of the favorites for the Nigerian striker's signature.

PSG also wants to bring back their star loan player, Xavi Simons, who had an incredible season with RB Leipzig. Reports are suggesting that the player does not want to go back to Paris and wants to either stay at Leipzig for another loan spell or go back to FC Barcelona. Although PSG planned to have Xavi Simons as part of the squad next season, Mundo Deportivo reports that PSG wants to sell Xavi Simons to RB Leipzig to prevent him from joining FC Barcelona.
