Manchester United has entered a new era with the new 25 percent takeover owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe. The British billionaire looks to complete some new signings to improve the squad for next season. Ratcliffe has not commented on potential signings from the winter transfer window but has already started planning for the summer window.

Man United's summer signings in the previous summer window included expensive signings like Onana, Rasmus Hojlund, and Mason Mount. The three have struggled to help Man United this season and have yet to reach expectations from the Man United fans.

André Onana has become a liability for the squad during this season. The Cameroon keeper conceded 29 goals in 21 Premier League games. He kept six clean sheets in 21 league games. In the Champions League, his form is worse. The keeper conceded 15 goals in six games with only one clean sheet. He has conceded some preventable shots that have the fans worried.

Mason Mount suffered a calf injury in late November and looked to return in early February. Regardless, the player looked unconvincing at the start of the season. He has yet to register a goal for Man United and the Champions League.

After a rocky start, Hojlund has started to pick up form in recent weeks. In the Champions League, he scored five goals in six matches. He registered two goals and one assist in his last two Premier League games. Man United will hope for these players to deliver for the rest of the season, but they would like effective transfer moves for next season.

Man United look to purchase Benfica's 100 million euro midfielder, Joao Neves, this summer

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has targetted Benfica's wonderkid, Joao Neves. The 19-year-old midfielder has a €120million buy-out clause. The defensive midfielder has one goal and assists in 17 Portuguese league games. Amrabat joined the club on a season loan from Fiorentina for the defensive midfield position but looked not to purchase the Moroccan.

With Casemiro aging and Eriksen played out of position, United will begin early talks to sign the Portuguese midfielder for the summer. Mainoo has been great in the double-pivot position, and with the signing of Neves, the pair could help United for years.
