The Saudi Pro League has gained popularity over the last couple of years. The popularity took off when Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in early 2023. Since then, the Portuguese have continued to score goals in crazy games in the Saudi Pro League and in the AFC Champions League. Last summer, the league brought in more talented players from the top five European leagues. The league doesn't seem to stop as they continue to look for more players in Europe to join Ronaldo in the Saudi Arabian league.

Players from the Premier League, like Ruben Neves, joined the Saudi Pro League last summer, and more could potentially join him this upcoming summer transfer window. Kyle Walker from Manchester City is a player who was asked about the possibility of joining the league soon. Walker is currently 33 years old and will turn 34 in May. Walker joined Manchester City in 2017 from Spurs and has won multiple trophies with City. Walker's current contract expires in the summer of 2026, as he signed a contract extension in 2023.
When Walker was asked about potentially joining the Saudi Pro League, the English right-back mentioned that Cristiano Ronaldo is why many players have decided to play in Saudi Arabia. Walker said, "I'll never say never. The money that they're paying is a massive factor in why they're going there. Cristiano Ronaldo opened the pathway. If they keep attracting the players they're attracting, the league will get better, so why wouldn't you want to go?"

In an interview with Sky Sports, Walker was asked about the potential penalty Liverpool wasn't given at the end of the game this past Sunday. Walker said, "I feel the referee did really well. Once you have Anfield and the crowd behind them, he could've crumbled. But that shows his experience and why he's regarded as one of the best referees in this country and the world."
