Liverpool and Bayern Munich have been tracking similar players and managers. The two clubs will have two new managers this summer, but Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel will not continue next season. The two clubs have been tracking down managers over the last couple of weeks, and now they have to cross out one name in their candidate list for their new manager. Liverpool and Bayern Munich targeted Xabi Alonso but have now denied both clubs the chance to stay an extra season with Bayer Leverkusen. Bayern and Liverpool still have names in their shortlist for their next managers and they share another target. That target could now become a reality for either team after the coach's words on his future with his current club.

Liverpool seems to target Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim, who seems to be the main target for the Reds now. The Portuguese manager isn't the only one in Liverpool's shortlist of managers for next season, but the club likes Amorim's profile. Amorim has spoken about the interest the Reds have in him, but he said he should be focused on Sporting as they are involved in a title race in the Portuguese league.

Bayern Munich could rehire Julian Nagelsmann after firing him a year ago. The German giants consider him a strong candidate to become the next Bayern Munich coach for next season, but the German coach could retain his spot as the head coach of the national team. Nagelsmann is not the only one on Bayern's shortlist for the new coach this summer. A manager in both Liverpool and Bayern's shortlist is Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi. He has become a new favorite for both clubs after his words regarding his future with Brighton.
