L' Équipe reported a month ago that Zidane preferred to coach Manchester United next season ahead of Bayern Munich. Erik Ten Hag is likely to not continue with Man United after a poor season with the Red Devils. It could now be likely that with Bayern now focused on keeping Tuchel, the probability of Zidane coaching the Red Devils could be a reality sooner rather than later.

While Bayern Munich was rejected by many top candidates, the club wants to keep Tuchel, but it would take some work to convince the German manager to stay longer. According to Sky Sports Germany, Tuchel would agree to stay at Bayern under the conditions of having a say in transfers and rebuilding the squad to his preference. Ran Sport reports that Tuchel staying could mean that he gets some of the new players he has asked for, while current regular players such as Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka are very likely to leave the club. Some leading players (Neuer, Kane, Müller) have already spoken out in favor of Tuchel staying.
