Kylian Mbappé left PSG and Ligue 1 for Real Madrid, the revenge post with which the French league responded to him

Football fans are going crazy with Real Madrid’s announcement of signing Kylian Mbappé as a free agent. The engagements of the X post were very high, and many are excited to see Mbappé team up with Vinicius Jr., Jude Bellingham, and Rodrygo. What many noticed is the post Ligue 1 made on X that seems to be a dig at Mbappé for joining Real Madrid and leaving PSG and the French league. As many were anticipating Real Madrid’s announcement about Mbappé, the official English Ligue 1 X account posted a picture of Lionel Messi and wrote, “Leo Messi. Enough said.” It seemed very random at first since many fans were talking about Mbappé joining Real Madrid, but it was justified. Today marks the last match Messi played in Ligue 1 with PSG, who got to wear the 23/24 PSG jersey.

Ligue 1 was not sour about Mbappé joining Real Madrid and, in fact, congratulated the player for making his dream move. The English Ligue 1 X account wrote, “Good luck at Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappé,” with various images of the player wearing the PSG jersey and a few of him wearing the AS Monaco jersey. Mbappé will be playing outside of France at club level for the first time in his career.

The official Ligue 1 account, which is French, posted a few images of Mbappé at AS Monaco and at PSG as well. The French league says goodbye to one of the greatest players they have ever produced and had in their league. Mbappé won his first Ligue 1 title with AS Monaco in the 2016/2017 season. Mbappé would then go on to win six Ligue 1 titles with PSG.

Mbappé made a total of 308 appearances for PSG across all competitions, scoring 256 goals and providing 108 assists. For AS Monaco, the French star made a total of 60 appearances for the club, scoring 27 goals and providing 16 assists. Across his time at PSG and AS Monaco, Mbappé made a total of 246 appearances in Ligue 1, scoring 191 goals and providing 74 assists.
