Manchester City defeats Bournemouth 1-0 at the Vitality Stadium thanks to a goal in the first half by Phil Foden. Man City wins two games in a row by scoring one goal. Foden guides Man City to another victory and is still in the title race against Liverpool and Arsenal. Manchester City are only a point behind Liverpool, who are still the league leaders.

In the first half, Man City took the lead in the 24th minute. Mateo Kovacic chipped a great ball to Erling Haaland in the Bournemouth box. Haaland used his strength to keep the ball and took a shot on target. Bournemouth's Neto makes a great save, but the ball fell to Foden. Foden made no mistake and scored on his left foot by tapping the ball into the empty net.
Man City took more chances in the second half, but Bournemouth started to create dangerous chances. In the 51st minute, Kluivert takes a shot towards the net, but Ederson gets a hold of the ball. In the 67th minute, Ederson made a vital save, which seemed the equalizer for Bournemouth. Christie sends a great ball from the corner and Solanke gets a header in the box. Ederson was behind his line when he punched the ball away, but the ball never crossed the line.

Bournemouth were close to scoring on a couple of chances late in the second half. Ouattara plays a one-two with Christie and drills a shot just wide of the far post. In the 90th minute, Semenyo sents a cross to Bournemouth substitute Unal. Unal almost scored as his header was aimed towards the bottom corner but it skims past the post.
Man City held on to the clean sheet and got all three points thanks to the Foden goal in the first half. Man City's next game will be against Luton Town in the FA Cup, and the Manchester derby will be next weekend.
