Liverpool is currently going through an injury crisis in the squad, as many first-team players suffered injuries in the past few games. Liverpool's 4-1 win against Brentford witnessed Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones suffering an injury in the first half of the game and being substituted off. Liverpool also suffered an injury during training in Alisson, just a day before the Brentford game. Liverpool has an idea how long these players will be out for, and most of them won't feature in tomorrow's game.

Concerns after the Brentford game were whether Jota and Jones would be fit to play against Luton Town this week and if they would be fit enough to play Sunday's EFL Carabao Cup final against Chelsea. There were more concerns that Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah might have suffered an injury after the Brentford game as well. In a press conference, Jurgen Klopp talked about the notable injuries in the team but gave no update regarding Salah and Nunez.
Klopp ruled out Jota, Jones, and Alisson for the game against Luton Town with a rounded time frame. Klopp said, "Not available obviously, Alisson, Diogo with a knee issue ruled out; with him, it will take more than a month. Curtis, bone ligament issue ruled out, then we have the others we will be with it day by day, we will see who makes it and who didn't make it."
Klopp mentioned Trent Alexander Arnold and Dominik Szoboszlai as well says the two players will be back soon. Klopp said, "Trent and Dom on the way back but not in team training. Tomorrow you will see who made it and who didn't make it. As long as we have 11 players, we will go for it."

Klopp was asked about Liverpool academy players featuring in games. Conor Bradley, James McConnell, and Bobby Clark have featured in the past few games, and Klopp is expected to use more. Klopp said, "We are where we are because of them. We have still options there, definitely, James McConnell, Bobby Clark, Lewis Koumas, Jayden Danns. Massive talents, but we will see what we can do. We are planning for tomorrow."
