Liverpool again showcased their great form as they defeated Norwich City 5-2 at Anfield. Liverpool will play either Watford or Southampton in the 5th round of the FA Cup after the two sides tied 1-1 and will have a replay. Liverpool won comfortably at home, with Jurgen Klopp bringing in a few returning players who were injured.

Liverpool started the game well with a Curtis Jones opener, followed by an assist from James McConnell from the academy. The 19-year-old chipped the ball over the Norwich players to find Jones open in the box. Jones guided the ball to the bottom right corner. Norwich responded back a few minutes later with a Gibson header from a corner kick. Norwich were defending all game before their equalizer and showed their threat in the set pieces.
Darwin Nunez gave Liverpool the lead minutes later after playing a quick pass by Conor Bradley. Nunez shoots a low-driven shot in the bottom left corner past the Norwich keeper.

Liverpool started the second half the way they started the first. This time, the goal came quicker as Diogo Jota scored in the 53rd minute. The Norwich scorer, Gibson, heads the ball poorly, and the ball falls to the Portuguese. Jota doesn't miss the chance and fires a strike into the bottom right corner.
Klopp brings on Szoboszlai, Robertson, and Virgil Van Dijk for Konate, Gomez, and Jones in the 55th minute. Only 8 minutes later, during a corner kick, Van Dijk was left unmarked in the box and scored with a header past the Norwich keeper to make it 4-1. Trent joins the Liverpool team in the 66th minute to replace Nunez.
Norwich gets a goal back after being disallowed a goal a few minutes before. A brilliant strike from Sainz outside the box to score past Alisson gave Norwich their second goal of the day. After displaying a good showing, McConnell unfortunately had to leave the pitch after suffering an injury. The young Liverpool midfielder showcased an excellent performance for his first start with Liverpool. Very late in the game, Bradley grabs his second assist of the game as Gravenberch scores the 5-2 with a close header in the box. Liverpool now has a ten-game unbeaten streak in all competitions.
