Jesé Rodríguez, the 30-year-old Canaries striker, is still searching for a new destination after his spell at Coritiba, where he left with a modest record of six games played and one goal before his early exit in November. Since then, his representatives have explored various options for the player, initially focusing on a return to Spain. However, following rumours of interest from the likes of UD Las Palmas, Valencia and Almeria, Jesé has broadened his horizon.

Recently, there has been speculation about a possible move to Racing Ferrol in the second division, but eyes are now on opportunities outside Spain, especially in South America. Clubs such as Peñarol and Nacional de Montevideo in Uruguay, and Universidad César Vallejo in Peru, have been mentioned as possible destinations for the player.

The latest news comes from Mexico, where Cruz Azul have shown interest in Jesé as a reinforcement for their attacking line, following the injury to Gabriel 'Toro' Fernández. Liga MX regulations allow free agents to be signed until 8 March, and Jesé meets the requirements, putting him on the list of options for the Aztec club alongside names such as Carlos Vela, Joao Rojas, Ademilson and Jürgen Locadia.

He was named as the new CR7

Since his departure from Real Madrid in 2016, following a million-dollar transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, Jesé has had a career marked by multiple loan spells and unsuccessful experiences at clubs such as Las Palmas, Betis, Stoke City and Sporting de Portugal. His last attempt abroad took him to Italian side Sampdoria and Turkish side Ankaragücü, where his performances were not entirely outstanding.
