It has not been confirmed that Kylian Mbappé will join Real Madrid next season, but many expect this to happen. Real Madrid's defender Antonio Rudiger gives no hints about the French star joining the team anytime soon after he says he wants to destroy Mbappé if he tries getting past him in an interview with Carre. Rudiger was asked about potentially facing Mbappé and PSG in the Champions League final, and he responded in a funny manner. He also worried Real Madrid fans since he and Mbappé may soon be teammates. Rudiger said, "If I play against Mbappé in the Champions League in the final, we will beat him. If Mbappé passes me, I will smash him. (Laughs)"

When Rudiger was asked if Mbappé joining Real Madrid would be good for the team, the German defender quickly ignored that question and asked if the deal was official. Rudiger said, "Is it good for Mbappé to come to Real Madrid? Who said he’s coming? It’s not official. But the best players in history played for Real Madrid. It would be a good match.”

The last time Rudiger faced Mbappé was in a friendly match between Germany and France. Rudiger and Germany got the win as they defeated France 2-0 at the Groupama Stadium. Rudiger was asked if he kept Mbappé quiet by putting him in his pocket, but the defender said, "No, no! It's disrespectful to talk like that; we're talking about a great player. Everyone is doing their best, but this 'pocket' thing, keep it for social networks." Although Rudiger and the German defense kept Mbappé quiet from scoring, the French star did have a good moment against the big German defender.

Rudiger's favorite defenders

Rudiger was asked about his favorite defenders, whom he looked up to, and he named some Real Madrid legends. Rudiger said, "The best defender in the world is Sergio Ramos. Still? Yes. I have to respect legends. Him, Thiago Silva and Pepe.” The German player showcased his dedication to defending when asked what his favorite skill is in football. Rudiger said, "My favorite skill? To bully opponents.”
